While a good fitter should be able to make almost any bike fit you properly, it can be helpful to get a professional fit before you invest in a new road bike. Carbon is also more shapeable–with fewer drawbacks when dramatically shaped–than any other material. More than any other material, carbon allows frame engineers to micro-tune areas of a frame with specific attributes. This material is exceptionally strong, stiff, light, and tunable.
